A & P show trip

Wow what an amazing day we had visiting the A & P show. We were so lucky with the weather! Everyone enjoyed seeing all the different animals and the exhibits at the show. It was just great being able to go in with the lambs and calves at the animal farmyard. Mike Greer homes had a great trail set up for children to follow. The wood chopping was fascinating as was the Science Alive display especially the bed of nails. It was great watching the horses in the main ring and looking at the llamas, cows, goats and sheep. Now we  know what the A & P show is really for.  We looked at the 1st, 2nd and 3rd ribbons won by the animals in the different classes.  There was lots of interesting farm machinery  to look at too. Some of us wished that we could drive some of the machines!
