Room 19 birthdays and Farewell Gordon .

We had a delicious class lunch to farewell Gordon as he leaves to live in Westport. Thanks parents for the wonderful food. We are very sad to lose Gordon from our class - he was a great friend. We hope that he will be happy on the West Coast.
Gordon

We really enjoyed having a shared lunch for Gordon even though it was a sad day for Room 19.

Sustainability

We are having a very interesting time learning about Sustainability and what it means. One day we picked up the rubbish in the school playground after morning tea and lunch time. Then we took it to Assembly and Mr Muller talked to everyone about how we can work towards having less rubbish in our playground.

We are also talking about what materials can be recycled.
  • Recycling is the process of turning used waste and materials into new products. This prevents potentially useful materials from being wasted as well as reducing energy use and pollution.
  • Recycling is part of the waste disposal hierarchy - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
  • A wide variety of different materials can be recycled, including paper, plastic, glass, metal, textiles and electronic equipment.

Goodbye Jennifer

We said Farewell to Jennifer as she headed off to Windsor School.
We hope that she will be very happy there and we will try to keep in contact through her new class blog as we do with Yarek's previous school and also Erin's.

Term 3

Welcome back to school. It has been really interesting hearing all about the students' holiday experiences.
