Room 19 2014

Well we have had our first day together as Room 19 of 2014! We are getting to know each other and working on activities from the learning plan.
Here are some activities from Monday 3rd March-

We
-watched a video about  how smart keas are

-talked about our holidays
-went to Assembly
-went for a walk around the school
-saw Mrs Bergmann
-visited some other classes
-talked about bucket filling and what that means
-had a game of cat and mouse
-said Goodbye to Jackson who is going to Tai Tapu school now
-read two stories
- missed Taika who has gone to Clearview School now.

Jack and Amelia got birthday certificates from Mrs Trotter because their birthdays were in the holidays.

Jackson called in to say Goodbye. We will miss him but we wish him well at Tai Tapu School.

Birthday certificates

We have some children who had birthdays in the holidays and since school started.

Jack, Amelia and Harrison's photo to come.

Monarchs

We are having great fun watching our caterpillars and seeing them turn into cocoons. It will be so exciting when we get some butterflies.

Term 1 2014

It has been really interesting meeting all the 2014 Room 19 students and their families. We have 23 children on our roll as Jackson M and Taika have moved house and so will be at different schools.  In our learning plan we are getting to know each other as we come into Room 19 from 3 different classes last year.  We are refreshing our knowledge of the Oaklands CARE values and what it means to be a successful learner.

We have been practising our ICT skills by  taking photos of each other playing in the playground.
